Idaho No Longer Pre-Approves Physical Therapy CE Courses

Jan 10
The Idaho Physical Therapy Licensure Board announced that it would no longer pre-approve continuing education offerings or courses.

Instead, licensees are responsible for selecting continuing education that meets the Board’s requirements.

What Changed?

The change removed the previous course pre-approval process.

Idaho continuing education must be relevant to the practice of physical therapy, taught by qualified presenters, and supported by appropriate documentation of completion.

The Board also recognizes home-study courses that provide a certificate of completion as an acceptable continuing education activity.

Physical therapy licensees must complete 32 contact hours of continuing education every two years.

How Pose Method® of Running Course Qualifies

Pose Method® of Running: A Master Course on Running is a 20-hour professional course focused on running assessment, correction, and retraining.

The course is directly relevant to physical therapy practice, is taught by Dr. Nicholas Romanov, and provides a Certificate of Completion documenting the continuing education hours earned.

For Idaho PTs and PTAs working with runners, athletes, return-to-running patients, military personnel, or tactical populations, the course provides 20 of the 32 continuing education hours required during the two-year period.
