Utah PT Continuing Education: Earn 30 Category II CEUs Online

Mar 17
Utah Physical Therapists completing the renewal cycle ending May 31, 2025 are required to earn 40 continuing education units (CEUs). Physical Therapist Assistants are required to earn 20 CEUs.

Pose Method® of Running: A Master Course on Running is a 20-hour online course with assessment. Under Utah’s Category II continuing education rules, one contact hour equals 1.5 CEUs.

That means the 20-hour course provides 30 Category II CEUs.

Utah Continuing Education Requirements

Physical Therapists: 40 CEUs
PTs must complete at least 40 CEUs during the two-year renewal cycle, including at least 2 CEUs in ethics or law.

Physical Therapist Assistants: 20 CEUs
PTAs must complete at least 20 CEUs during the two-year renewal cycle, including at least 2 CEUs in ethics or law.

Why a 20-Hour Course Provides 30 Utah CEUs

Utah classifies an electronic course with assessment as a Category II continuing education activity.

For Category II activities: 1 contact hour = 1.5 CEUs

Pose Method® of Running includes 20 contact hours of professional education and assessment, providing 30 Category II CEUs toward Utah continuing education requirements.

Continuing Education You Can Use With Runners

Pose Method® of Running provides a professional system for running assessment, correction, video analysis, and retraining.

For physical therapists working with recreational runners, endurance athletes, return-to-running patients, or other active populations, the course allows continuing education hours to also build a practical running-related clinical skill.
