Nevada PT Continuing Education: 15 Approved CCUs for the New Renewal Cycle
Aug 12
Nevada’s new annual continuing competency cycle is underway.
Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants must complete 15 continuing competency units each year for license renewal. Pose Method® of Running: A Master Course on Running is directly approved by the Nevada Physical Therapy Board for the full 15 CCUs.

Start the New Renewal Cycle With CE You Can Use
Nevada does not allow continuing competency hours to carry from one compliance period into the next. Each renewal cycle requires a new set of qualifying activities.
Starting early gives you more freedom to choose continuing education based on what is useful in practice rather than simply filling hours as the next renewal deadline approaches.
Pose Method® of Running provides 20 hours of online professional education in running assessment, correction, video analysis, and retraining, with 15 Nevada-approved CCUs applied toward the annual requirement.
Position Your Practice for Active and Tactical Populations
Running is a routine physical demand in the military, and running-related lower-extremity injuries remain a persistent problem. That creates a particular need for clinicians who can do more than treat the injured runner — they need a practical way to assess the running mechanics the patient will return to.
Pose Method® of Running has been used in U.S. military training and return-to-duty settings since 2007. Its running retraining approach has also been studied in military populations, including work with chronic exertional compartment syndrome in which changes in running mechanics were associated with reduced compartment pressures, reduced pain, improved function, and continued running without surgery.
For Nevada physical therapists, that history creates a useful professional advantage. Familiarity with a running assessment and retraining system already used in military settings can strengthen your ability to work with active-duty personnel, veterans, tactical populations, runners, and other highly active patients.
Complete the Full Nevada CCU Requirement in One Course
Nevada requires 15 continuing competency units annually, and Pose Method® of Running is approved for the full 15 CCUs.
The course gives you a defined process for running assessment, correction, video analysis, and retraining while completing the annual Nevada continuing competency requirement.
Nevada licensees should also remember that the annual requirement includes 1 CCU addressing Cultural, Access, and Ethical Standards.
