Arizona PT License Renewal Deadline: August 31, 2026
Aug 15
Arizona Physical Therapist and Physical Therapist Assistant licenses expire August 31, 2026. The Arizona Board of Physical Therapy is currently directing licensees to complete continuing competence requirements and renew before the deadline.
Arizona requires:
At least 10 hours for PTs and 6 hours for PTAs must come from Category A activities. Arizona does not place a maximum on the amount of Category A credit that may be earned.
Yes. Arizona does not prohibit licensees from completing their continuing competence requirement through qualifying online education.
The key issue is whether the activity meets the requirements of the applicable continuing competence category.
Pose Method® of Running: A Master Course on Running is a 20-hour online professional course in running assessment, correction, video analysis, and retraining.
For an Arizona Physical Therapist, the course can provide the 20 contact hours required for the current compliance period.
For an Arizona Physical Therapist Assistant, it provides more than the 10 contact hours required.
Participants receive a Certificate of Completion for their continuing education records.
Arizona licensees are responsible for maintaining their own continuing competence records. If selected for audit, the Board requires completion documentation and a list identifying the activity title, completion date, contact hours, category, and approval body.
If you work with runners, return-to-running patients, athletes, military personnel, or tactical populations, Pose Method® of Running combines the continuing education hours you need with a defined system for running assessment, correction, and retraining.
